Our practice is looking for a highly energetic, ethical, and well trained general dentist with superb communication skills. All applicants must have completed a general practice residency and have a minimum of one year private practice experience. You will be practicing all phases of general dentistry including restorative dentistry, root canals, crown and bridge, implant restoration, removable prosthodontics, and extractions. Job Description

The Dental Assistant supports the clinical treatment care of patients. Other functions include sustaining patient comfort, managing supplies, listening to patients' needs and educating them on dental procedures, working efficiently to maintain doctor's schedule and adhering to all OSHA and safety policies and procedures. The Dental Assistant will also organize and maintain lab equipment, take and develop x-rays and provide comprehensive post-op dental procedures to patients. The ideal Dental Assistant candidate should possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a superior knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology, a friendly, outgoing demeanor and excellent organizational skills.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to prepare dental equipment and instruments
  • Excellent working knowledge of overall dentistry and dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation

Job Responsibilities as a Dental Hygienist

  • As a Dental Hygienist, you will clean teeth and examine patient oral areas, head and neck for signs of oral disease. You will also record and review patient medical histories
  • Cleaning calcareous deposits, accretions and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins with dental instruments
  • Charting conditions of dental decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by the dentist
  • Maintaining and sterilizing dental equipment
  • Applying fluorides and other cavity preventing agents to prevent dental decay

Education

  • Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state for which you apply
  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene, Bachelor’s degree a plus

 Patient Care Coordinator

Job Responsibilities as a Patient Care Coordinator

The primary responsibility is to ensure that patients are the number one priority from the time they enter the practice until the time they leave. Our Patient Care Coordinator contributes to the practice's financial success by creating and maintaining positive relationships with patients as well as by knowing and understanding the business of dentistry to provide patients with the best experience possible.
  • Provide a fantastic New Patient Experience; make a positive first impression with patients both by phone and in person; answer phones with a smile within the first 3 rings; communicate with patients in a courteous manner while on the phone and closing technique procedures to ensure that an appointment is scheduled.
  • Handle and/or direct patient questions and complaints; know when to escalate.
  • Schedule appointments in accordance with guidelines based on nature of treatment; follow and track appointments due to no-shows, cancellations and late arrivals; call scheduled patients to confirm appointments.
  • Ensure all applicable daily checklists are completed, treatment plans posted, and charts are maintained.
  • Calmly and effectively guide patients by phone through a dental emergency.
  • Maintain a referral-tracking program weekly to provide information on how each patient was referred to the practice.
  • Record all charges and payments to patient accounts; be able to explain third party financing for patients and assist them to complete financing applications.
  • Understand and follow doctor's treatment plans to schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Inform patients of the company's payment policy; follow payment policy by collecting payment from patient at time of service; assist patients in completing new patient health history forms; attach insurance to patient account in practice software if applicable.
  • Contact insurance companies to verify coverage and fee schedule and complete insurance breakdown accurately and completely if patient appointment is scheduled within 24 hours of appointment time.
  • Open and close practice for business according to company procedures
  • Ensure that reception and front desk areas are clean and organized

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One to two years experience working in a professional environment with direct customer contact desired. Dental experience is a plus.
