 General Dentistry

The dentists at Horizon Family Dental Care take a preventative approach to your dental health. We encourage our patients to practice daily tasks to keep their mouths healthy. Outside of bushing, flossing and using fluoride rinses daily, our dentists also suggest maintaining twice-yearly cleaning appointments with X-ray imagery taken once a year. Our cleanings help keep patients on track and aware of any significant changes in their oral health.

Your visit to our convenient offices in Baltimore, Clinton and Hanover will include cleaning, polishing, fluoride treatments, X-rays and an examination from one of our seasoned dentists. Should your visit uncover more significant dental needs such as fillings, crowns, root canals, or gum care, our treatment coordinators will work closely with you to develop a personalized treatment program.

“Thank you so much for getting me back-to-back appointments for a routine cleaning as well as a filling. It was so nice to get it all done the same day! Thank you too for being so gentle and talking me through the procedures every step of the way. See you in December!”

 Restorative Dentistry

No one is perfect, and we welcome the challenge of helping you restore your beautiful smile. Our devotion to the newest technologies and treatments makes us the best fit for your restorative dental needs. Our dentists and specialists are amongst the industry’s leaders in dental implantation, oral surgeries, cosmetic dentistry, crown and bridge insertions and sedation dentistry.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a popular and effective way to replace missing teeth and are designed to restore your smile to its former glory. Dental implants are often regarded as the largest, most important advancement made in recent dentistry.

Crowns and Bridges

Crowns and bridges repair fractured or decayed teeth. A crown strengthens and protects the existing tooth structure and can improve both the outward appearance of your smile and your oral comfort. Bridges replace lost or missing teeth by “bridging” the gap where one or more teeth used to be.

Veneers

Veneers are a thin, custom-made shell designed to cover the front of a tooth. They are a popular option for correcting stained, chipped, decayed, crooked or uneven teeth.

Invisalign®

Metal braces are a thing of the past! Invisalign® takes a unique, modern approach to straightening your teeth. Our certified dentists use a custom-made series of aligners to gradually move your teeth into place. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements designed for you. We guarantee you will achieve a beautiful smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process? No one will know you’re straightening your teeth.

 Specialized Dentistry

We believe in providing the best for our patients. We offer a comprehensive approach to dental care ranging from Orthodontists, Oral Surgeons, Endodontists, Periodontists and Pediatric Dentists. At Horizon Family Dental Care, our state of the art technology and the services we provide are designed to help you feel at home and comfortable, and our experienced dental staff is trained to respond to the special concerns and needs of our patients. All of which has been created for your peace of mind.

Endodontists are specialists who treat the nerves and blood vessels inside the tooth. They perform root canals, and treat conditions caused by injury or disease.

Periodontists specialize in diagnosing and treating conditions of the gums, bone, and other tissues surrounding and supporting the teeth. They may graft gum tissue or bone where these have been destroyed, and may place implants in the jaw to support tooth replacements.

Oral Surgeons perform advanced surgical extractions. These specialists deal with difficult extractions, such as the removal of impacted wisdom teeth. They also perform surgery on other parts of the face and mouth.

Prosthodontists create specialized dentures, bridges, and implants, and repair or replace worn, broken or missing teeth.

 Emergency Care

We know emergencies will arise, and when they do Horizon Family Dental Care will be with you to ensure you receive the best and immediate care. Pain involving the mouth, even when minor, can indicate a severe underlying problem that could worsen with time. It is important to contact a dentist as soon as possible for a professional evaluation to minimize damage to the teeth, gums, and the supporting bone.

Our offices have convenient evening and weekend hours. If you have an emergency or are experiencing pain during office hours, please call the location nearest you and we will help immediately.

If you are already a Horizon Family Dental Care patient who has been treated within the last 24–48 hours and have an after-hours dental emergency, call your local office directly and connect to our emergency line.
